Tougher materials stand up
to the toughest environments The Model C3 rotor is made of tough polycarbonate for exceptional durability and reliability. The Model C3 sensor base is also made of rugged polycarbonate, making it more resistant to damage during installation. The Unique Bearing System Assures that wind blown dirt and moisture will not destroy the bearings and degrade Performance. Recorded Wind speeds up to 97 m/sec, make the C3C Anemometer the first choice for professional use in all fields. |

Second
Wind C3C Anemometer The Second Wind C3 anemometer offers a new choice, including calibrated or uncalibrated anemometers to meet your needs. Our Model C3C anemometer has been calibrated at the highly respected Massachusetts Institute of Technologys Wright Brothers wind tunnel. MEASNET Calibrated Anemometer is also available. |

Second
Wind PV-1 Wind Vane The PV-1 is a continuous-rotation potentiometric wind direction vane. It is ideal for applications including wind resource assessment, meteorological studies, and environmental monitoring. The mechanical range is a full 360 degrees with continuous rotation, and the instrument is compatible with all Nomad data loggers from Second Wind and similar data logging devices. The Second Wind PV-1 Wind Vane has an innovative design featuring drip overhang to prevent icing. Combine this with a reduced dead band of as little as three degrees, and you get more reliable performance and accurate reads all the way around. |

The
Vector A100 Anemometer The A100 Anemometer has a 3 cup rotor running a shaft, and is available as either a passive version using a magnetically-actuated switch or an active version using a chopped optical beam. Both versions provide pulse signals proportional to the wind speed being monitored. However, the active version provides more pulses for greater signal resolution when determining turbulence. A MEASNET calibration service is also available. |

SWI
Thermister with Radiation Shield The SWI Thermister is designed specifically for use with the nomad 2 wind resource assessments data logger. It consists of a 10K type thermister encased in a aluminum shaft, and comes pre wired with 3.5 meter of sensor cable with radiation shield to minimize errors from gains due to direct sunlight. The sensor is ideal for collecting temperature data for energy density calculations and monitoring air temperature at remote sites. The six plated shield can be mounted to a 1 to 2 inch diameter pipe with a U-bolt clamp or a larger diameter mast with hose clamp. |

Setra
Barometric Pressure Transducer
Setra systems has been a technology leader in environmental pressure measurement for over three decades. The model 276 is an extremely accurate and stable transducer based on the proven setracreamTM sensing element. Another major features of the 276 is setra's custom application specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The ASIC works hand in hand with the setracreamTM sensor to achieve long term stability and high accuracy. ::

Wavecom
(GSM) Modem (remote date collection) Dial the NOMAD 2 from your office computer to view real-time data from all sensors. Use the Zoom inputs button in NOMAD Desktop to make sure all devices connected to the logger are functioning properly and to check the battery voltages. Use the Zoom Nomad 2 button to view the amount of space remaining on the Compact Flash card, the local time at the logger, the version of firmware running on the logger, and more. |

Grounding
Kit
Meteorological sensors, loggers, and masts accumulate static charge unless they are properly grounded. High winds, low humidity, and the height of the mast above ground increase the rate of charge accumulation. A properly installed grounding kit protects your sensors and loggers from electrostatic discharge (ESD) by bringing the mast and everything mounted on it to ground potential. The copper-clad lightning spike provides an umbrella of protection for sensors at the top of the mast ::
